Today we shall continue Instruction for use & Operational instructions of  ''Battery Pasting Belts''.

Instruction For Use:

The correct length of the battery pasting belt is the inside circumference. To determine it run a Tape measure around the pulleys and add 1/4”. The belt must fit tight without stretching it too hard. We are able to furnish any length needed. Belts can shrink when stored for long periods. Store belts in a cool and dry place. See direction arrows on belt and install accordingly.






Operating Instructions For The Care Of Needled Pasting Belts:

1. Before installing a new belt, thoroughly clean all rolls and surfaces on the machine that Come in contact with the belt to remove hardened paste built up, especially on the drive Roll and squeeze roll.
2. Install belt on machine manufactures instructions. These instructions are very important. 
3. After belt installation, tighten the take up roller just enough to take up slack, if any. Do not stretch the belt. Make the belt wet with water with temperature 50-60 °C (120-140 °F). Allow belt to run 20-30 minutes without paste but with constant supply of water for the belt to be wet. After that tighten the belt and start with pasting.
4. At the end of the shift, remove all paste from the belt surface and machine components with plenty of water. Be sure to remove all paste built up. Under reduced pressure and Tension wash for about 5 minutes with plenty water in order to flush as much paste out of the belt as possible. This will prevent the belt from hardening and cracking later on. Stop the machine.
Relieve pressure on both squeeze roll and take up roll. Move the belt splice to a flat Position away from any pullers or rollers and keep the belt saturated with water until Next shift. Belt life is shortened when it is allowed to dry out.
5. Belt must be always kept wet, also when machine is not running.
