SPECIAL BELTS FOR PACKAGING INDUSTRY

Drawdown belts are used in the packaging industry when something is filled into a folia or paper bag. Drawdown belt is also called haul off or bagger belt , coated belt, vacuum belt, or VFFS belt . The later term is an abbreviation from Vertical Fill Form and Seal Machine, one type of packaging machine where the draw-down belt hauls off the folia to form a bag. The drawn-down belt consists of a basic toothed belt and a cover. The basic belt is around 90 ShA while the cover should be much softer ranging from 35-55 ShA to sti SPECIAL BELTS FOR PACKAGING INDUSTRY ck to the folia or paper they draw for packaging the product into a bag. For the basic belt manufacturers can use either Polyurethane (PU) or Neoprene timing belt. A lifetime of PU is longer. If you prefer a longer life you should buy PU basic while if the price is a preference you should buy Neoprene. However, if you consider stopovers/ change periods and maintenance cost no question PU is more economic. Neoprene basi...

Conveyor Terms...Continue...

-
Good Evening Everyone...!!! Today we are going to continue our earlier topic ''Conveyor Terms''. Let's start it with Conveyor Belts. Conveyor Belt:- Conveyor belt is a continuous moving band that moves the product, supported by frames & rotated by driven pulley. Crowned Pulley:- Crowned pulley is larger at centre than at the ends in order to help maintain belt tracking. A conveyor belt will always run toward the longest part of the conveyor, so by making the pulley slightly larger in the center, it ensures that the belt will tend to run in the center of the conveyor. Drive Mounting Package:- A drive mounting package is the connection between the drive pulley and the gearmotor. They typically allow the gearmotor to be mounted either to the side of the conveyor or below or above the conveyor. Feet Per Minute/ Meter Per Second:- Feet Per Minute (FPM) is a standard measure of conveyor speed. It measures the number of feet the belt moves in one min...

TIMING PULLEY CALCULATION CHART

Hello Everyone.....!!! Today we shall continue our previous 'TIMING PULLEY ' series. Here we are going to discuss timing pulley calculation chart.                                  Pitch Diameter (P.D.) = (Pitch x Number of teeth) / ∏ Timing belt pulley outside diameter (O.D.) builds upon the relationship between the timing belt pulley and timing belt. The outside diameter of the timing belt pulley is in contact with the tooth bottom of the timing belt while meshing with it. The distance from the timing belt tooth bottom to the tensile cord (pitch line) will determine the outside diameter of the timing belt pulley for any timing belt pitch/timing belt profile. Variables: Pitch :                                5 mm No of Teeth:             X     16   ...
